The Bookworm is Beijing’s premier English language lending library, bookshop, restaurant and events space.
The Bookworm has flourished into a bustling centre for literary activity. Our library has grown to an impressive 16,000 titles, our restaurant is headed up by a team of experienced chefs and restaurant personnel, and our bookshop continues to stock a fabulous selection of titles, some of which you’ll be quite surprised to find in Beijing.
Throughout the year, we also play host to a range of fascinating writers and literary types, with festivals, author talks, books signings, poetry nights and discussion groups. Whether you’re interested in the hottest new Chinese writers, or the most distinguished of commentators on doing business in Asia, there’s something for everyone.
